My name is Yann Le Meur. I’m a French sport scientist. I earned a Ph.D in Physiology of Exercise from the University of Nice-Sophia Antipolis in 2010 by studying the performance factors in high-level Olympic distance triathlon. My main research interests focus on performance analysis, training methodology, prevention of overreaching and recovery (~40 scientific publications). At the same time, I’m currently editorial member of different scientific journals (Sports Medicine, British Journal of Sport Medicine, Science & Medicine in Football, European Journal of Sports Sciences & International Journal of Sport Nutrition, Exercise and Metabolism). The biggest part of my work is not dedicated to research but mainly to work with elite athletes on a daily basis. Over the last decade, I worked with several French Olympic teams for Beijing 2008, London 2012, Rio 2016 & Tokyo 2021 Olympic Games in both individual (triathlon, swimming, mountain-bike cycling and modern pentathlon) and team sports (synchronized swimming and rugby sevens). I work at at AS Monaco Football Club since 2016 (currently as Head of Athletic Devlopment) and I’m part of the staff of Daniil Medvedev (ATP tennis player) since 2017.
I’m managing this website on my leisure time to promote what is new is sports sciences. Keep in mind that these infographics are only a snapshot of scientific articles, which do not represent a substitute of these papers. So it remains essential to read the full papers! I hope that you will enjoy it and that you will share the word. If you want to contact me, do not hesitate and use the dedicated “Contact” section of the main menu.
